Halo, by Alexandra Adornetto

'Nothing happens in the sleepy town of Venus Cove. But everything changes when three angels, Ivy, Bethany and Gabriel, are sent from Heaven to protect the town against the gathering forces of darkness. They work hard to conceal their true identity and - most of all - their wings.
But the mission is threatened when the youngest angel. Bethany is sent to High School and falls for the handsome school captain, Xavier Woods. Will she defy the laws of Heaven by loving him? Things come to a head when the angels realise they are not the only supernatural power in Venus Cove. There's a new kid in town and he's charming, seductive and deadly.
Worst of all he's after Beth.
The angels and Xavier must work together to overcome the dark forces - but will Beth survive the battle?' (Blurb from Halo, written by Alexandra Adornetto, published by Harper Collins)

This book is definitely one of my favourites and will be a favourite to all those who love reading about romance and supernatural beings. It had me on the bridge of tears once and left me flushed more than once... Although, there was too much written about the characters feelings, when there should have been more talking and actions, and the characters werent original. They were the same type of characters you find in all love stories. The beautiful girl, who's in danger, the heroic, handsome guy, who would do anything for her, and the seductive, dangerous bad guy/girl. always there to put the heroin in trouble. Besides those few minor setbacks, it was addictive and hard to put down. i would rate this book: 8.5/10

The second book in the series, 'Hades' is also out and available.
